Cyclist injured in crash in SE Calgary

A man was taken to hospital on Wednesday afternoon after a crash at a southeast Calgary intersection.

Emergency crews were called to 17 Avenue and 52 Street SE around 2:25 p.m. for what was initially described as a collision involving a pedestrian.

Calgary police say a man was struck and rushed to hospital in non-life-threatening condition. City traffic cameras appear to show the man was riding a bike at the time of the crash

The driver involved remained at the scene.

The investigation is ongoing.
