Flames ownership launches survey to shape ‘fan experience’ at Scotia Place

The Calgary Flames ownership group is asking Calgarians to help shape the fan experience at the city’s next arena.

Calgary Sports and Entertainment Corporation (CSEC) is circulating a new survey aimed at gathering public input on what Flames fans want to see, feel, and experience when the team moves into the under‑construction Scotia Place arena in 2027.

The organization says the transition offers a rare chance to rebuild the game‑day atmosphere “from the ground up.”

In its message to fans, CSEC said it wants to understand “the moments that matter most,” from what makes a great night out to what can hinder it.

The Fan Journey Survey takes roughly 5 to 10 minutes to complete, and all responses are anonymous.

Scotia Place is being built just north of the Saddledome and is scheduled to open in September 2027. Project planners say the design will bring spectators closer to the ice and create a more intimate viewing environment than the current arena.

The venue is also expected to host Calgary’s games during the 2028 World Cup of Hockey, which the city will co‑host with Edmonton and Prague.

The fan survey is available here.
