SUV crashes into downtown Calgary building

An SUV slammed into the side of a building in downtown Calgary late Friday morning.

Police say the crash happened around 10 a.m. on 7 Street SW, just south of 5 Avenue, when a vehicle struck the exterior wall of a building.

Images from the scene show a silver SUV lodged against the building, with visible damage to the passenger-side front windshield.

Officers say the structure does not appear to have sustained any significant damage.

No injuries were reported.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
