February 2014 colder than usual: Environment Canada

If it felt like February was colder than usual, it was.

Calgary’s average high in February, is zero, while the average low is -12C.

John McIntyre with Environment Canada, said last month was about seven degrees colder than usual.

“The highs have been around -7C and the low was -17C,” he said.

McIntyre said on the bright side, Calgary experienced less precipitation than usual.

The city received six centimetres of snow, while 13 centimetres is the normal amount.
