Michelle Wright helps kick off the first Saturday of Stampede, hitting the stage at the annual Chinook breakfast.
Billed as the Stampede’s biggest breakfast, the event in the Chinook Centre front parking lot, goes from 7:00 until 11:00 a.m.
Chad Klinger and Hey Romeo were also scheduled take to the Entertainment Stage.
A new addition to the breakfast this year is the Chinook Kids’ Corral featuring old-fashioned carnival games, inflatable bouncers and interactive stations.
The fun is free for the whole family.

Down at the grounds, the Heavy Horse Show got underway bright and early at 8:00 a.m. and runs until 11:00 at the Saddledome.
Right after that, starting at 11:00 at the Saddledome, it’s the Miniature Chuckwagon Races.
The Kids Pedal Tractor-pull also gets going at 11:00 over at the Agrium building.
The little ones can meet Dorothy and Wags from The Wiggles in the Saddledome plaza entertainment zone at 11:00.
They can also see The Big Comfy Couch on the Coca-Cola stage at 11:30.
