Winter’s coming back strong

Hang onto your hats, Calgary is going to experience a big swing in temperature.

The warm westerly wind has smashed at least 24 warm temperature records in Alberta, with Calgary closing-in on its warmest January 9th ever as well.

However, that is going to change late Monday and for the next couple of days.

660News Meteorologist, David Spence, says a cold front is moving in with expected over-night snow and winds shifting to the north west.

By Tuesday afternoon, temperatures will fall to minus eight and it could be 20 degrees colder than Monday’s high.
