Police find body of Edmonton teen who went missing while swimming in Whitecourt

Police say they found the body of the Edmonton teenager who went missing Sunday while swimming in Whitecourt, Alta.

Whitecourt RCMP say the 14-year-old’s body was recovered early Tuesday morning from Rotary Pond.

The child had been swimming in the water with adults at Rotary Park when he went missing just before 4 p.m.

Mounties closed the park while they investigated.

Whitecourt is about 180 kilometres northwest of Edmonton.
