A Riverfront Avenue resident thinks the Calgary Parking Authority is cashing in on her flood misery.
Donnalena Hiebert says she’s racked up thousands of dollars in parking tickets and impound and towing fees because she has nowhere safe to park.
Underground parking lots remain closed and the closest legal place to park is two kilometres away in Bridgeland.
Hiebert tells The Calgary Sun, she wouldn’t feel safe walking the long distance home from work in the wee hours of the morning.
The Calgary Parking Authority says they are working on getting street parking permits for those with mobility issues.
