New WestJet baggage fee starts

As of Wednesday, it’s going to cost a little more to take a second bag on a WestJet flight.
The Calgary-based air carrier is charging people $20 more to check a second bag, including things like skis and golf clubs.
Spokesman Richard Bartrem says the new fee is designed to offset the rising cost of fuel. He says all air carriers are looking at ways to keep air fares down.
WestJet estimates the second bag fee will only affect about 25 per cent of their customers.
