Police investigating suspicious death in the northeast

Calgary police are investigating what could be the city’s latest murder.
A man was found unconscious early Sunday morning in a parking lot in the 200 block of 52nd Street N.E.
He was rushed to hospital, where he died.
Police believe there was an altercation between two small groups of people before the man died. They are only calling the death suspicious, but the homicide unit is investigating.
Acting inspector Terry Larson tells 660News someone has been identified as a person of interest, but no charges have been laid yet.
An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
