500 delegates from around the world are expected to gather in Calgary in early November for the Inaugural Global Clean Energy Congress.
The event which is expected to attract four thousand attendees will also showcase some 200 companies, pumping millions of dollars into the local economy.
The Vice President of DMG events, the same company that puts on the bi-annual Global Petroleum Show, says the congress isn’t just about renewable energy sources.
Wes Scott says a lot of the emerging clean energy technology is a result of oil and gas research and development .
Scott says the Congress will be a great opportunity for people to share ideas about energy projects and practices and will help build Alberta’s reputation as an energy leader.
