A Calgary man charged in the death of a young college student outside a bar in Olds a year ago, has admitted he was the man behind the wheel of his truck at the time.
Jeffrey Kevin Leinen is charged with second-degree murder after 18-year-old Nicholas Baier was run down outside The Texas Mickey bar, last October.
In court today, the crown says Leinen was mad after being thrown out of the bar and proceeded to drive his truck into a group of people in the parking lot.
The trial, which is expected to last two or three weeks, will focus on Leinen’s intent.
