Air Canada partners with U.S. Wi-Fi service

Air Canada passengers may soon be able to surf the internet in the skies.

The airline has partnered with Illinois-based Gogo Inc. to begin offering Wi-Fi.

Previously, a series of regulatory issues prevented the service from being provided in Canada.

The in-flight wireless provider hopes to provide connectivity by the end of 2013.

Right now, Gogo offers internet service to American flyers for a fee.
