The minister in charge of recovery in High River is clarifying details about a ban on alcohol at the temporary Saddlebrook neighborhood set up in the community.
Rick Fraser told assembled media, on Thursday, that booze would not be allowed as residents are dealing with stress and allowing alcohol on site wouldn’t be a good idea.
Several hours later he clarified, via Twitter, that people are permitted to drink in their own trailers but alcohol won’t be allowed in common areas of the camp.
Saddlebrook could house about 12,000 people on a temporary basis while their homes are repaired.
