Cop involved in shooting tasered victim a year before

A Calgary cop who shot and killed a man in his home had a history with the same individual.

A fatality inquiry into the June 2011 shooting death of Corwin “Corey” Peeace heard Monday, Constable Stephen Cook used a stun gun to take down Peeace a year earlier in February 2010.

Peeace’s wife, Vanessa Severight said her husband was considering taking legal action over the incident.

She accuses Constable Cook of taking the 2011 call because of his history with Peeace.

The 40 year old was shot four times after the officer responded to a distress call at the home.
