A surprising guilty plea in Calgary court, Monday morning.
Gangster Real Honorio pled guilty to second-degree murder for fatally shooting innocent bystander Keni Su’a in the city’s 2009, New Year’s Day massacre.
Toni Roulston, Honorio’s lawyer, told the media this helps her client with closure.
“He is relieved to finally move on,” she said outside the court house. “This happened in 2009. He had a long, arduous trial for which we were successful at appeal.
“He just wants to move on with his life and have a life.”
Su’a was gunned down as he ran from Bolsa restaurant, after two men opened fire on gangster Sanjeev Mann and his associate, Aaron Bendle, in the establishment. The violent incident was part of an escalating feud between two rival Calgary gangs, Fresh Off the Boat and FOB Killers.
There’s no word yet on a sentencing date for Honorio.
