RCMP say road conditions factor in crash that killed two near Pincher Creek

Two people have been killed in a crash in southern Alberta and RCMP say road conditions were a factor in the collision.

At about 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, RCMP were called to a serious crash on Highway 3, just east of the Highway 6 turnoff, near Pincher Creek.

Police say a minivan with four people inside was heading westbound when it crossed the centre line and was hit by an SUV. The two in the front seats of the van were pronounced dead on scene, while two other riders were taken to hospital with serious injuries.

A pair inside the SUV was also taken to a Pincher Creek hospital, where they are in stable condition.
