Alberta leads the country in cannabis sales

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Despite concerns over a lack of supply, Albertans are still buying more cannabis than anywhere else in Canada.
According to recent data from Statistics Canada, sales in Alberta hit $13.6 million in December, up from about $11 million in November.
Alberta also leads when it comes to retail locations with 75 stores currently registered with the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis Commission (AGLC).
The news is positive for consumers after AGLC temporarily stopped new licenses following a shortage of cannabis last November.

In total, Canada recorded just over $55 million in sales in December, which is about $12 million more than what it hit in October when the product was legalized.
The province with the lowest amount of sales in December was Saskatchewan at just $1 million.
