Police investigating fatal shooting inside Walmart in Red Deer

RED DEER (660 NEWS) — A 69-year-old man has been killed in a targetted shooting inside a Red Deer Walmart.

Police were called to the Walmart off of the QEII around 6:45 P.M. Friday night.

The victim was found shot at the entrance to the store and was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police say there is no threat to anyone in the community and speculation online that there were multiple victims is false.

No suspect information has been released.
