Calgary (CityNews) — Another Calgary hospital is on alert, as the Peter Lougheed Centre has identified COVID-19 outbreaks in multiple wards.
Alberta Health Services confirmed to CityNews on Sunday that three units were affected and are currently under outbreak investigation.
An outbreak was declared on the cardiology unit and a transition unit October 27, as well as on a hematology unity October 16.
One death has been associated with the outbreak.
In October, four patients tested positive for the virus.
AHS says that no health care workers have tested positive.
They say all outbreak protocols are in place with visitation restricted to end-of-life situations.
