Several cocktail mixes, beers and other alcoholic drinks leftover from the nightclub are also up for bids.

“The items we are seeing that are attracting the most attention right now are things like the party bus. We have been getting lots of phone calls on that. Lots of phone calls on the smoker that’s on a trailer,” said Lyle Stewart, owner of Stewart Belland Sales.

“Individuals have been phoning on a regular basis right now, the number of new bidders that are signing onto our website to bid on stuff is mostly all individuals. I would say the majority of the people that are buying are probably going to be individuals who probably want a little bit of Calgary’s history.”

Even the mechanical bull and a party bus are available for auction with the latter currently selling at over $500.

“We put the sale over a four-day time frame so that when the sale ends people are coming in to pick up their merchandise and that we have enough time in between that we are following the guidelines. That’s probably our biggest concern right now is making sure we have enough control of the people coming in and out of there,” Stewart added as they are maintaining with the provincial COVID-19 guidelines.

Ranchman’s closed in March 2020 following the first public health measures introduced by the Alberta government.
