The Red Lot viewing parties have been cancelled for Friday and Sunday’s NHL playoff Battle of Alberta games, at least.
According to the Calgary Flames, the move was made to cancel the event because of “damage suffered to the site” during Wednesday’s wind storm and because of “inclement weather in the forecast.”

The Red Lot was also closed for Game 1 of the second round between the Flames and Oilers because of weather.
Despite the Red Lot closure, the Flames say fans will still be able to cheer their team on in a large crowd this weekend. With the Battle of Alberta expected to only heat up further, the Scotiabank Saddledome will be open for the “C of Red Family Viewing Party” Sunday, when the Flames head to Edmonton for Game 3.
