Family and supporters of Jackie Crazybull honoured her legacy Saturday at the annual Justice for Jackie Walk — a yearly walk raising awareness, and asking for justice after her death.
Crazybull was killed in Calgary in July of 2007, in what officials said was a random stranger attack.
A group gathered together at Rouleauville Square park and walked to the corner where she lost her life.
“Jackie Crazybull did nothing wrong. She was sitting on a bench…with my cousin, and it was during the Calgary Stampede,” said Crazybull’s sister Sandra Manyfeathers, describing where she was killed.

Police said she was stabbed to death at the corner of 17 Ave. and 11 St., and the person responsible for her death has yet to be caught.
“What we’re asking for is that Jackie’s murderer gets charged, and we don’t have to do this year after year,” Manyfeathers added.
Calgary police reopened the murder investigation in Oct. 2016, and while police identified three people of interest in the case, no charges were laid.
