Calgary police are looking for more information about who they refer to as a “person of interest” connected with an East Village death.
Investigators released an image a person whose face is covered by a red bandana, and the man who died Wednesday.
Police say the man who died is wearing black clothes, a black backpack, and a black face mask. The person police are looking for is wearing a red bandana as a face mask, with a black ballcap, black puffy jacket, and a cross on a long necklace.

Officers say they were called to the area of 6 Avenue SE and 4 Street SE around 1:20 a.m. Tuesday for reports of a man in medical distress on the sidewalk.
When they got there, they found the man in his late 20s or early 30s with serious injuries.
“Despite lifesaving efforts from witnesses and first responders, the man was transported to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries,” Calgary police said in a release.
The man has not been identified and it’s unclear what led to his death, however, it appears as though he died after a fight. Police called it a “fatal altercation.”
If investigators deem this death a homicide, it will be the city’s 23rd this year and the second in three days.
An autopsy is set for Thursday to determine the cause of death and identify the man who died.
Anyone with information about this incident, or either man’s identity, is asked call police at 403-266-1234. You can also leave an anonymous tip through Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
