Police investigating jewelry store robbery in Calgary’s Chinatown

In a brazen act, a jewelry store in the Dragon City Mall fell victim to a robbery on Monday afternoon.

Just before 4:30 p.m., a group of suspects entered the store and released an unknown chemical agent.

The suspects then smashed display cases and made off with an undetermined amount of jewelry.

C-P-S Staff Sergeant John Guigon tells CityNews that the police are still trying to determine the type of chemical deployed in the store.

Other than those affected by the chemical, no other injuries were reported.
