Police are renewing a call for information in the death of a woman who they believe was killed inside her vehicle in southeast Calgary more than three years ago.
Emergency crews were called to the area of Cranston Drive SE and Cranberry Road SE in the community of Cranston around 2:50 p.m. on Dec. 2, 2021.
Officers arrived to find a woman dead inside of a parked vehicle. The victim was identified as 35-year-old Norma-Jean Muirhead.
Homicide investigators believe she was murdered inside her vehicle and have called her death targeted.
Police say Muirhead, along with her two children, moved to Calgary from Trail, B.C. in 2001. She has ties to the Trail and Edmonton areas.
“Every day without answers is a day filled with sorrow and uncertainty for Norma-Jean’s family, especially her two children who must endure the unimaginable pain and heartache of going about their lives without their mother,” said Det. Lacey Murdock of the CPS Homicide Unit.
