Severe thunderstorm watch issued for Calgary

A severe thunderstorm watch has been issued for Calgary on Thursday afternoon.

Environment Canada issued the watch in the early afternoon, cautioning residents about developing storms that could bring hail, strong winds, and intense rainfall.

Meteorologists say the threat of thunderstorms will continue into the evening.

Residents are being urged to head indoors if storms approach.
