Man rushed to hospital in critical condition after downtown Calgary stabbing

Calgary police are investigating after a man was found stabbed Tuesday night near Victoria Park Station.

Acting Insp. Jordan Nolan explains the person was left with internal bleeding and a collapsed lung after being stabbed.

He was taken to Foothills Medical Centre in life-threatening condition and has since been upgraded to stable following emergency surgery, Nolan added.

At this point, investigators have no suspects.

Nolan confirmed officers are also looking at a scene in Century Gardens on 8 Street SW in connection to the incident.

There are no impacts to traffic at this time.
