    A man is fighting for his life in hospital after a crash in northeast Calgary on Wednesday afernoon.

    Emergency crews were called to McKnight Blvd NE between Centre Street and Edmonton Trail NE around 3:15 p.m.

    The crash occurred on 48 Avenue NE, a side street just south of McKnight.

    One person was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to Calgary police.

    Police say one of the drivers suffered a medical incident. It’s unclear if the driver is the same person who was taken to hospital in critical condition.

    Eastbound McKnight Boulevard was briefly closed at Centre Street, but the road reopened around 4 p.m.
