Emergency crews were called to the South Trail Crossing shopping plaza near 130 Avenue SE and Deerfoot Trail around 1:30 p.m

Calgary police say a pedestrian was struck in a marked crosswalk near a Boston Pizza restaurant. They were rushed to hospital in serious but stable condition.
