Youth sustains head injuries in airgun incident in NW Calgary

A youth sustained an injury to their head following an airgun incident in northeast Calgary on Wednesday afternoon.
Calgary police responded to a firearms-related complaint on 52 Avenue NW near Sir Winston Churchill high school around 12:30 p.m.
Officers arrived to find a youth with minor head injuries. According to police, the injuries were caused by a CO2-powered airgun.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
Police are reminding the public that discharging airguns—including airsoft, pellet, and BB guns—is prohibited within Calgary city limits. They noted that these devices, while widely available, can result in criminal charges if misused.
