Pedestrian stable after being hit by truck on Calgary’s 17 Ave SW

One person was sent to hospital after being hit by a truck in downtown Calgary Thursday morning.

A pedestrian is said to be in stable condition in hospital after being hit by a truck in Calgary’s Beltline Thursday morning.

Calgary police say it happened around 9:50 a.m. at the intersection of 4 Street and 17 Avenue SW.

The driver of the truck stayed at the scene.

Various roads in the area were closed for multiple hours.

They have since reopened to traffic.
