Pedestrian hit on Centre Street in NE Calgary, left seriously injured

A person was taken to hospital in serious, but non-life-threatening condition after being struck by a vehicle in Calgary's northeast Tuesday morning.

One person was taken to hospital in serious, but non-life threatening condition after being hit by a vehicle in Calgary’s northeast Tuesday morning.

Calgary police say it happened just before 9 a.m. at the intersection of Centre Street North and 11 Avenue NE.

The pedestrian was taken to Foothills Medical Centre by paramedics.

Area roads were closed for a period of time but have since reopened to traffic.

An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
