Masked suspects storm Airdrie home in early morning invasion

Mounties are investigating after three masked intruders forced their way into an Airdrie home while the homeowner was inside, prompting a large police response and an ongoing investigation.
RCMP say the break‑in happened around 8:55 a.m. on Thursday.
According to investigators, three suspects dressed in black and armed with what appeared to be a handgun and bear spray entered the home while the homeowner was present.
The homeowner suffered minor injuries during the encounter and was left shaken.
Before officers arrived, the suspects fled on foot and are believed to have escaped the area in a waiting vehicle.
Calgary Police Service HAWCs air support and RCMP Police Dog Services assisted in the search, but no arrests have been made. Mounties say they do not believe there is any ongoing risk to the public.
