Teen violently attacked at parking lot car show; suspects sought

Police are asking for help finding suspects after a violent attack at a car event in southeast Calgary last month.
Investigators say a 19-year-old man was assaulted around 9:15 p.m. on April 18, at a car show and shine in a parking lot along 61 Avenue SE near 52 Street.
Four people attacked the victim, according to police.
The next day, the victim went to the hospital and required surgery for his injuries. His family reported the assault to police on April 20.
Investigators later reviewed security footage from the area and identified one suspect who knew the victim. Officers arrested an 18‑year‑old man on May 5 and charged him with aggravated assault.
Because he was a minor at the time of the attack, his name cannot be released under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
Police are now trying to identify the remaining three suspects.
- Suspect 1 is described as a male, 18 to 25 years old, with a light complexion, medium to heavy muscular build, black hair and a black beard. He was wearing white sneakers, black pants, a light‑grey hoodie and a black cap.
- Suspect 2 is described as a male with a slim to medium build, wearing a black motorcycle helmet, black jacket and light‑coloured pants.
- Suspect 3 has no available description.
