Man in 60s dies from injuries after being pinned under CTrain

The collision happened at 7 Avenue and Centre Street S around 5:30 p.m. on May 21.

Police say the man was walking southbound on Centre Street approaching 7 Avenue when he entered the path of the oncoming train. The train was moving through the intersection on a green signal, according to investigators.

The man was temporarily pinned under the train before being freed by emergency crews. He was rushed to hospital in life‑threatening condition.

In an update Thursday, police say the man has died from his injuries.

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
