Calgary police are renewing their call for help as they continue searching for a man involved in an indecent act near a playground late last year.
Investigators say the incident happened around 12:45 p.m. on Dec. 12, 2025, when an intoxicated man was seen near a playground in Whitehorn and later engaged in inappropriate behaviour before leaving the area.
Witnesses told police the man may have been recording children with his phone. Members of the public approached him, and he walked away.
Officers canvassed the neighbourhood for witnesses and security footage but have not been able to locate an image of the suspect. A composite sketch has been created and released in hopes of advancing the investigation.
In an update on Thursday, police now describe the suspect as a man of South Asian descent.
He is also described as 70 to 80 years old, about 5’6″ tall, with a medium build and medium complexion. He has a white‑tipped beard with black roots and brown and red patches.
At the time, he was wearing black headphones, navy work pants, black shoes, a black toque and a blue puffer jacket, and was using a white‑and‑gold smartphone.
