Man dies after stabbing at Wetaskiwin McDonald’s

Mounties in Wetaskiwin are investigating a stabbing death at a city fast food restaurant.

Officers were called to the McDonald’s Tuesday around 7 p.m. and say a 33-year-old man was rushed to hospital, but died of stab wounds.

Police say with ‘tremendous’ help from the public they arrested a suspect in the case, but aren’t releasing their identity until charges have been laid.

The victim’s name won’t be released until next of kin have been notified.
