Rockyview Hospital to celebrate milestone anniversary

A big celebration is in the works for one of Calgary’s biggest institutions on Wednesday.
Rockyview Hospital is celebrating it’s 50th anniversary and will be marking the changes it has seen over the past five decades.
Senior Operating Officer Debbie Goulard says much of their staff have fond memories.
“It opening as a small community hospital with only one wing and has grown to the second largest tertiary site in Calgary which includes emergency, critical care, and ophthalmology as a central focus and neurology and so we’re very proud of the site and how we’ve grown over the past 50 years,” said Goulard.
They’ll mark the occasion with the opening of two time capsules; one from Rockyview, the other from the old Holy Cross site.
