CALGARY (660 NEWS) – A massive blaze completely consumed a home in the city’s southeast Sunday afternoon.
Calgary fire crews responded to the fire in Legacy around 2:20 p.m. to find the home on Legacy Mount fully engulfed in flames.
The fire managed to jump from the one house and damage the neighbouring home. CFD says there was one person in the second house at the time of the fire, and they managed to get out safely.
Listeners who called in to 660 NEWS said billowing smoke could be seen from surrounding communities and some people driving on MacLeod Trail even pulled over to take pictures.

Codi Hawkes sent in photos of the fire and said the area is a pretty quiet one–adding that most of the houses are under development.
An investigation has been opened to determine what sparked the fire.
