After more than a year in care of the Calgary Humane Society, it’s longest resident ‘Mr. Worldwide’ is finally heading to his forever home.

The humane society says the beloved pitbull spent 382 days in their care before a family who heard about him on the radio adopted him.

“They’re a family dog,” says adopter Lori Jensen. “That’s all they want, affection.”

“They are so affection, loving,” says Richard McCord. “You can’t get enough of them, and they can’t get enough love.”

‘Mr. Worldwide,’ a 2-year-old American pit bull mix, was described by the humane society as a pup that’s full of energy and loves to cuddle.

Employees told CityNews last fall they were shocked he had not yet been adopted.
