Man stabbed in chest during transaction outside CrossIron Mills mall

Mounties continue to search for a suspect accused of stabbing a man in the chest in the parking lot of a popular mall north of Calgary Monday evening.
Airdrie Rural RCMP say around 6:15 p.m., a call was made to 911 reporting a stabbing in the CrossIron Mills parking lot, just outside of entrance 4.
Emergency medical services and police tell CityNews paramedics responded to the scene and took one adult to hospital from the scene in serious condition.
An initial investigation has revealed that the victim was purchasing items from the suspect when he was stabbed.
The suspect left the scene in a black SUV.
RCMP cleared the scene around 11 p.m.
An investigation into the incident continues.
