A Calgary woman convicted of killing her own daughter will have to wait another few months to find out her fate.
Aset Magomadova was found guilty of manslaughter after strangling 14-year-old Aminat in February of 2007.
She was originally charged with second degree murder.
There were some problems with the psychological assessment during Wednesday’s hearing, and the case has been set over until the end of June.
The Crown and defence both agree the report from the doctor is inadequate.
The judge said in court that he has to have a lot more information before he can even think of sentencing Magomadova.
A new report has been ordered with a different doctor who will also look at the possibility of post-traumatic stress disorder because she is from Chechnya.
About half a dozen friends and family were in court to support the 40-year-old, who has to have an interpreter because she has trouble understanding English.
