Men involved in remand assault identified as gang members

Two men involved in a remand centre assault on Sunday night, are apparently known gang members waiting for a murder trial.

Nathan Zuccherato and Nicholas Chan are both charged with first degree murder for the three shooting deaths on New Year’s day 2009.

One person was injured in the assault Sunday, but police say up to five people were involved.

The injured man has been identified as Brent Harold Boake, who is also awaiting a murder trial in the 2011 stabbing death of an inmate.
