Alberta’s STARS lottery is back and the public can already get a look at its grand prize in the south Calgary.
Tickets are now on sale for $5.6 million worth of prizes, including a furnished $1.3 million dream house which opened for viewing Thursday in Silverado.
STARS President and CEO Andrea Robertson said she’s hoping for another big year of fundraising, which keeps air ambulances flying.
“Eighty per cent of our funding comes from the community, last year we made $10 million from this lottery, so you can imagine that goes a million miles,” she said.
Robertson’s favourite features of this year’s home include the open nature of the design, along with the downstairs spare rooms which are the size of master bedrooms.
Other dream homes are located in Edmonton, Red Deer and Lethbridge, there are also early bird prizes of $100,000 cash and a BMW.
