The city will share its plans at an open house Tuesday evening for the Southwest Transitway.
The project has seen a lot of press lately thanks to a lively opposition group who don’t like the idea of new bus lanes being added.
However, City Transit Spokesperson Sean Somers says there’s also been a lot of support.
“Lots of folks who are very interested in seeing this project go forward. It’s going to be a major line to lots of very important destinations, such as the Rockyview Hospital, Mount Royal University Campus,” he said.
The meeting happens at the Woodcreek Community Association from 7 to 9 p.m.
For those who can’t make it out Tuesday, there are five other meetings coming up in March, listed on the city of Calgary’s website.
