Calgary men arrested for allegedly scamming older gay men

A pair of Calgary men are facing numerous charges in connection to an online dating scam across Western Canada.
Edmonton Police believe the two defrauded older gay men out of tens of thousands of dollars after targeting them online.
They were arrested at two southwest Calgary homes on Thursday.
According to investigators, the two would establish relationships with their male victims before observing their pin codes, they’d then steal debit and credit cards from the complainants.
It’s believed the two made off with $80,000 dollars from eight Alberta victims, four in Edmonton and four In Calgary.
They also believe there may be other victims across Alberta and throughout the Greater Vancouver area who have yet to come forward.
42-year-old Mourad Aytour and 36-year-old Saed Teeti are charged with eight counts of fraud and theft.
Several other charges are pending.
Anyone with information or who may have come into contact with the men are asked to contact the Edmonton Police Service, Calgary Police Service, Vancouver Police Department or Crime Stoppers.
