Red panda cub debuted at Calgary Zoo

CALGARY (660 NEWS) – Hot on the heels of news that the beloved giant panda twins would be staying in Calgary a little longer, a different kinda of panda made her debut at the zoo.
Udaya the red panda cub–whose name translates to “dawn” in Hindu–has been revealed to those in attendance at the zoo today.
She was born to mom Sakura in June and the mother-daughter duo has been tucked away in the nursery to bond. Zoo staff calls the new addition a “firecracker”.
She’s not the only zoo baby that can be spotted in Calgary–zoo staff recently revealed the gender of its latest addition in the penguin enclosure as well.
The king penguin chick Napoleon is out and about as well.
