By CityNews Staff

The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit has arrested five people in relation to the death of Lane Tail Feathers who was reported missing by his family last year in Fort Macleod.

The 35-year-old was reported missing after not returning to his home on June 20, 2021 and Mounties had been treating the death as suspicious.

Then on July 20, 2021, Crowsnest Pass RCMP received a report from Alberta Fish and Wildlife of possible human remains located in a rural area.

A forensic investigation later determined the remains to be Tail Feathers.

Charges are pending.
