Power restored for thousands in NW Calgary

Power is restored after an outage impacted thousands of resident in northwest Calgary on Tuesday night.

Enmax said the outage began just after 7 p.m. and crews worked to restore power to parts of the Panorama Hills and Coventry Hills neighbourhoods.

The company said the power was back on for Coventry Hills around 8:30 a.m, and the power was restored for Panorama Hills about 20 minutes later.

Approximately 4,700 customers were affected, according to Enmax.

The utility company says the outage was caused by “wildlife interference.”
